Annual Vigil Honors Unhoused Neighbors Who Died in 2023

On Thursday, December 21, hundreds of community members gathered in front of the Denver City & County Building to remember our neighbors who passed away in 2023, while experiencing homelessness.

This was the 34th year the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless sponsored the event, which often is the only memorial for these individuals. Among more than 300 whose memories were honored were Denver VOICE vendors Brian Augustine and Patrick Balerio.
