Ask a Vendor

The “Ask a Vendor” column allows us to share the thoughts and wisdom of the diverse group of people who make up the Denver VOICE vendor pool. Do you have a question for  VOICE vendors? See below for more information on how to submit it.

What item do you keep with you that you would really struggle without?

Ann Bitela
My phone, to keep in touch with family, for job callbacks, and as a VOICE vendor for emergencies that can come up.

Armand Casazza
I would say my leg brace because it helps me walk. Also my wheelchair. When I get too numb to stand up, the wheelchair helps me walk.

Mark Wouters
My faith in Jesus and my supply of newspapers.

Besides my backpack and my 16-year-old hat, the one item I keep with me is my journal of notes, quotes, and many other sayings. These lift my spirits when I am hit by bad weather or nasty responses from people.  They also provide solace when I’m reflecting on my own mistakes.

For example, “God does not forgive because He does not condemn.” That tells me that no matter what, God is still on my side!
